FAQs
What’s in your ice cream?
A short, clean list of ingredients.
Our ice cream is made with a cashew and coconut milk base, finished with carefully chosen ingredients for flavour and texture. Everything is naturally dairy free and gluten free, with no soy, palm oil, or fillers.
What sweeteners do you use?
Organic cane sugar and organic coconut sugar.
Some flavours also use maple syrup. We don’t use artificial sweeteners, sugar alcohols, or inverted sugar syrups.
Is your ice cream gluten free?
Yes.
All Sea People ice cream is gluten free and made in a gluten-free environment, including our cones.
Do you have nut-free options?
Yes.
Some flavours are made with coconut milk only and contain no nuts. These are clearly marked on our menu, and our team can help guide you if needed.
What makes your ice cream different?
Texture and restraint.
The cashew and coconut milk base gives our ice cream a naturally creamy mouthfeel, without relying on dairy or heavy processing. We keep sweetness balanced and ingredients clean, letting flavours stay clear and uncomplicated.
Do you use gums or stabilisers?
In small amounts, yes.
We use less than 1% organic guar gum and sunflower lecithin to maintain texture and consistency. Both are plant-based and commonly used in small quantities in modern ice cream.
Where is your ice cream made?
In Pāpāmoa, Bay of Plenty, Aotearoa New Zealand.
